I would like to send everyone well wishes. As we are all sheltering in place or risking it all as essential workers, I want to send my warmest regards your way alongside a virtual hug. Times are definitely special, scary, over- and underwhelming, but I am so hopeful for a better tomorrow. How about you?
Please comment below or email me if you would like a pen pal during social distancing. I have been sending lots of happy mail lately and it brings me joy when I can send a little sunshine too.
One of the things that I’ve been able to include when I send happy mail is stickers. I love stickers. I put them everywhere. EVERYWHERE. One day I was interrupting my sister's conversation with my mom and I told her that I wanted this fancy machine-- the Cricut-- that helps create lots of fun things. I can be an impulse shopper, for sure, but I have been trying to steward my pennies a lot better. So, my mom decided to gift me a Cricut and I couldn't have been happier when it arrived last week.
Since the machine has arrived I have had lots of success and even more failures. In the beginning, I was ready to send this machine back to its maker, but I decided to just walk away for a few hours to reset before trying again. As I meander along trying to create, my frustrations are turning into lessons and I am truly enjoying crafting on this little machine (it's not that little). In addition to crafting with my Cricut, I have also been learning French via Rosetta Stone, reading, learning calligraphy, organizing, and napping. My sister is considered an essential employee, so during the weekdays, I work from home while also facilitating home learning for my niece and nephew. What have you been up to?
Here are a few of my Cricut projects so far.
