You need to read these in 2020, Part 1

Updated: Jan 9

I looove stories. Towards the latter end of 2019 I vowed to take my joy of reading back to its roots by reading for pleasure again. I will create a series of multi-part posts that includes 5-10 books you should consider this year. These books will span the breadth of diversity-- age, culture, content, readability, genre, etc.

Some of the books listed include those I have read while others have intrigued me in passing. All in all, edifying oneself by reading a good book is good for the soul. Let's jump in!

Comment if you would like me to share why I chose these books in future posts. Keeping it short and simple for this first list :-).

  1. The Jesus Storybook Bible, Sally Lloyd-Jones

  2. Educated, Tara Westover

  3. Amal Unbound, Aisha Saeed

  4. A Daily Dose of Sanity, Alan Cohen

  5. Barracoon, Zora Neale Hurston

  6. Redeeming Love, Francine Rivers

  7. Show Your Work, Austin Kleon

  8. Feed, M. T. Anderson

  9. Fear: Trump in the White House, Bob Woodward
